Hi, I’m Nisha! ♥

Welcome to vicharoo! Thank you for taking the time to visit this site. I am just a girl next door who leads a very simple, hectic (and boring) life like many of us do.

So, how did I get here?

Banging my head at work for almost 9 hours, and travelling for almost 5 hours daily in over- crowded Mumbai local trains (while  bearing with other passenger’s sweaty armpits) for 6 days a week made my life highly miserable.

I couldn’t give time to myself or my family. My lifestyle sucked! I didn’t want to wake up to an alarm, spend my days glued to chair, or put toxins in my body through pollution and food adulteration. What is the use of earning so much if I can’t have a happy and healthy life?

I desperately wanted to escape this rat race. Wake up to the sweet chirping of the birds, breathe fresh air, grow my own organic food in a scenic village and lead a healthy-happy life.

But how?

I just couldn’t afford to lose my job for various reasons. I kept on looking for something to make my dreams come true without sacrificing my regular income. That’s when I got an idea of creating a website. But finding a niche was really tough.

I went through an intensive research on various topics to get my niche fixed. There were many profitable niches like sports, fashion and technology etc. which were great to earn more in less time. But, I had very little interest in them.

So, instead of developing a fake interest in them just to earn money, I decided to go with my heart.

I can’t write any random stuff just for the sake of earning. Instead, I write only if that’s what I feel and believe. Why fool my own audience? It’s more fun to guide them and grow with them in the process.

I wanted to use my creative juices towards something that matters, both to me and the world. I always had affection for nature and greenery. So I thought, why not kill many flies with one blow? I can write on environmental issues. It would:

  • Give me a chance to enhance my knowledge about something I really care
  • Create awareness among people to save mother earth
  • And also help me fulfill my dream

Bingo!

But there were so many challenges:

Language:

English is not my first language. My English vocabulary is very basic. There is no problem in reading and understanding it. But when it comes to putting my own thoughts on paper, it just becomes 100 times harder.

My hands just freeze… and my brain too (Logically, my brain freezes first, and then my hands… yes, that sounds right!) Many times my head thinks in my mother-tongue and then my hands translate it to English while typing.

No wonder it takes me hours and even days to write a single article. Hence, initially I was hesitant to write articles. I didn’t know how much time it would take. But I had to overcome my fears. Slowly I got the confidence to write and learnt a lot in this whole process.

So, please pardon me if there are any spelling / grammatical mistakes. I am really very very sorry in advance!

Time Constraint:

Time was the biggest issue. How to get time to write content for this website when I have no time to spare for myself and my family? But I had made my mind.

I started working on the content whenever and wherever I could – while standing in a railway, waiting for a client’s reply and in free time between two jobs etc. And one day, I had enough number of articles to put on a website.

Failures in the past:

I am far from being perfect. Creative insects crawling inside my brain just can’t stay idle. I have tried creating YouTube channel, mobile application and blogging couple of times. But every time, I failed due to some mistakes.

Fortunately, I am not a kind of person who gives up very easily. The whole process was enriching. Every time I learnt from my mistakes and moved on to make new ones. Haha!   I always remember what great scientist Thomas Edison had said.

“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

And that’s how the Vicharoo.com was born in January 2019.

What’s in it?

You will find posts related to:

and many more.

What makes this site different from many others?

Positivity:

‘Environmental Issues’ is a very vast topic. There are millions of articles on how the earth is going to die in the next few years. Surprisingly, there are very few articles which actually discuss the solutions…Really good solutions.

I believe in finding solutions; rather than just discussing problems.

Nisha JK

I mean, what is the use of wasting your time and energy in just discussing the same problems again and again? Why you want to panic others? Find a solution instead. Spread positivity.

That’s why in Vicharoo, you will find practical and real life solutions for each problem.

Simplicity:

Every day, thousands of new high tech and fancy innovations are getting poured in the ocean of internet. But very few of them actually work. Others just create waves.

Similarly, many times we unnecessarily complicate our lives by running behind complex solutions. I feel, the solution has to be simple to understand, cost effective and easy to implement. Otherwise it is not a good solution at all.

Nisha JK

That’s why in Vicharoo, you will find variety of DIY solutions and shortlisted innovations implemented worldwide.

Low cost solutions:

I belong to a middle class family and I know the value of money. I never got a pocket money in my entire life. Yes! It’s hard to believe, but true. My parents did an excellent job in raising us low key and keeping our feet always on the ground.

I know how hard it is to fulfil your family’s needs and keep everyone happy with whatever little you earn. I can relate to it. That’s why I never get fascinated about flashy gadgets and branded items.

My ultimate goal is to solve problems in simple and budget friendly ways. Vicharoo is for everyone from anywhere on this Earth (I won’t mind even aliens).

Vicharoo will give you:

  • Shortlisted slogans and quotes (only the ones I found interesting)
  • Real life examples and case studies for better understanding of solutions
  • Infographics and comparison charts to find out what’s best for you
  • Pocket friendly solutions for thrifty users like me
  • Quick notes (Summary) for my lazy-busy readers

Last but not the least…

Every time I write an article, I indulge myself in self-learning and evolution. This gives me opportunity to learn and share new things daily. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to share with you amazing stuff from all over the world, and I will try my very best to be as genuine, transparent and honest as possible in explaining each and every topic.
