- Supervise your child’s use of tools, especially during crafting. Pencils, scissors, rubber bands can all cause serious eye injury.
- Keep common but sharp household items such as paper clips, hangers, fishhooks, forks and knives out of reach of children. Store them in child-proof locations.
- Make sure to Keep children away from flying debris during carpentary work / while operating lawnmowers, lawn trimmers and leaf blowers.
- Store hazardous substances like fertilizers, pesticides, household cleaning supplies and other chemicals away from children at all times.
- Buy age-appropriate toys
- Avoid certain children’s toys with hard or sharp edges such as BB guns, darts, bows and arrows, laser pointers etc.
